Danny Lasoski simply loves to race. The World of Outlaws race about 100 nights a year but if it was up to Lasoski, he'd race every night. So it was easy for the Dude to take advantage of an open night to head down to the Missouri State Fair Speedway in nearby Sedalia, MO for the 2nd Annual Bob Ramey Memorial.
The Dude piloted the Lasoski 33 machine, a car owned and prepared by his father George. "It was just like the old days. Me and my dad out there racing again. He has been with me ever since I started so it was fun to go out and put his car in victory lane. The Winged Outlaw Warriors are a great group of racers and I enjoy running with them when I get the chance," said Lasoski.
Lasoski started the A Main event on the pole with his nephew Brian Brown right beside him. The Dude got the jump on Brown and was never seriously challenged. He continued working lapped traffic and eventually lapped up to seventh place.
"We had a great car. Sedalia is close to home for me so it is good to be able to race well in front of the home crowd. Tony and Kathy Ross of American Compressed Steel, Inc. have been a long time sponsor of mine and they are also located in Sedalia. The car carries the Michael Ross Foundation logo which is a charity founded in their son's honor," Lasoski explained.
Up next for Lasoski and the Roth Motorsports Team are World of Outlaws shows at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, IL and Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, AR. Stay tuned to www.dannylasoski.com for continued news and updates. |
